Ms. Carmichael is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist specializing in microbiology and immunology and after 25 years of experience in healthcare quality, remains passionate about striving for excellence in healthcare delivery. Her 14 year experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a healthcare quality surveyor and the Western Consortium OPO Coordinator cultivated a keen desire to work with healthcare organizations to identify their gaps and challenges and guide them toward an optimal solution for their organization. Ms. Carmichael’s overarching experience in clinical laboratory science, dialysis, organ procurement and transplant gives her a unique perspective to the transplant industry. Establishing a collaborative candid relationship with leaders and front-line staff remains the key to sparking the creative ideas that lead to solutions. It has been her privilege to work in both the private and public sectors, which has given her a unique perspective to what matters; gratified employees, excellent outcomes and satisfied customers. She currently serves as the Secretary of the Nevada Donor Network Board of Directors.

Ms. Carmichael is proficient in the fields of Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), program assessment, planning and development, effective change management and compliance monitoring of regulations and standards. She is experienced in concept development, and change management to realize efficiency and improved outcomes. She has 20 years + of leadership experience in healthcare specializing in clinical laboratory, organ procurement organizations (OPO), transplant and dialysis with an exceptional network of high-level contacts in Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Health Resources Services Administration and the transplantation industry locally, regionally and nationally.
