Dr. Pang-Yen Fan has served as Medical Director of the Renal Transplant Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts since 2001. He has over 20 years of experience in the care of kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant patients and has been active in regional and national transplant policy development. He has also served as Medical Director of the REN Center dialysis unit in Durham, North Carolina and as Director of the Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School for over 10 years.
Dr. Fan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation. He has published over 30 book chapters and peer-reviewed papers.
Dr. Fan received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at Duke University Medical Center.
