Chief Operating Officer

Corey King brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in organ transplantation and healthcare administration to Guidry & East. Throughout his career, he has worked to strengthen transplant programs, improve performance, and navigate the complex operational and strategic challenges unique to transplantation.

Corey earned both his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Iowa. His education in business and healthcare administration has provided a strong foundation for his career leading complex transplant programs and healthcare service lines.

Prior to joining Guidry & East, Corey served as Executive Administrative Director of the Transplant Service Line at UC Health, where he provided executive and administrative leadership for transplant services within a complex academic health system. His responsibilities included advancing program strategy, supporting multidisciplinary operations, aligning clinical and administrative priorities, and positioning programs for continued growth and long-term success. In addition to transplantation, Corey provided leadership oversight for the Executive Health Program, Signature Services, and cardiology, further broadening his experience in healthcare operations and service line management.

Corey’s transplant leadership experience also includes administrative roles with the Willis-Knighton John C. McDonald Transplant Program at Louisiana State University Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. His experience across multiple transplant programs and healthcare environments has given him a broad perspective on the operational, financial, clinical, and organizational factors that contribute to successful transplant programs.

Throughout his career, Corey has developed extensive experience in transplant program administration, strategic planning, program growth and development, operational performance, multidisciplinary team leadership, resource planning, and the coordination of complex transplant services. He understands the unique challenges transplant leaders face from balancing patient access and program growth with staffing and resource demands to aligning clinical excellence with organizational priorities and long-term sustainability.

Corey’s commitment to transplantation extends beyond his professional responsibilities. He has remained actively involved in organ donation and transplant advocacy, volunteering with nonprofit organizations and serving in board roles that support greater awareness of organ donation and transplantation.

Corey lives in Ohio, with his wife, three children, and two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting his children’s activities, watching sports, and officiating high school football during the fall.
