Chief Financial Officer

Troy Heckenkemper serves as Chief Financial Officer of Guidry & East, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy, operational management, corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, treasury functions, and long-term organizational planning. Beyond his executive leadership responsibilities, Troy is deeply involved in transplant financial consulting engagements across the country, supporting transplant centers in navigating the increasingly complex financial and regulatory landscape surrounding organ transplantation.

Troy specializes in transplant finance, Medicare organ acquisition cost reporting, transplant operational and financial assessments, feasibility studies, Conditions of Participation (CoP) preparedness, and Medicare organ acquisition financial audits. His work focuses on helping transplant programs strengthen financial performance, optimize reimbursement, improve compliance, and build operationally sustainable service lines in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

Born into the transplant industry, Troy was immersed in transplant finance and reimbursement strategy from an early age through the mentorship and legacy of his father, Deedle Heckenkemper, a nationally respected pioneer in transplantation. That foundation provided Troy with a unique perspective on the financial complexities of transplantation and the operational challenges transplant centers face every day. While his professional path initially extended outside of healthcare, the mission-driven nature of transplantation and the close-knit transplant community ultimately drew him into the field full time.

Prior to joining Guidry & East, Troy held multiple leadership positions in finance and business operations and assisted in the startup and development of five businesses throughout Arkansas. His entrepreneurial and operational background brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to transplant consulting engagements and strategic healthcare initiatives.

Troy earned his Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Northwest Arkansas Community College before completing his Bachelor’s degree in Geography with a minor in Geology from the University of Arkansas. He later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Troy is a licensed private pilot, an ordained minister, and actively volunteers within his community, reflecting his longstanding commitment to service, leadership, and helping others both professionally and personally.

Today, Troy works alongside transplant executives, finance leaders, and program administrators nationwide to help organizations improve reimbursement accuracy, navigate regulatory complexity, strengthen financial infrastructure, and support the long-term success of transplant programs.
